EverChew Poochie Parm Dog Food Topper

What is this?!

Fresh from our R&D team is this exciting new EverChew product! Poochie Parm is 100% bully stick shavings. We installed a special vacuum system on our drill to catch these tasty delights in a clean and safe way for your pooch.

Kirby's dog Rosie is a finicky eater, and when the food is left out, then Plumpers McMeowface will eat the dog food. But we've found that a sprinkle of these bully stick shavings will usually get Rosie to clean her bowl.

While our sticks are low to no odor, this sprinkle does have a bit of a kick because of the large surface area of the shavings. But as long as you don't purposefully take in a snoot-full, you'll probably never notice.

What's Inside?!

  • 2 cups of 100% bully stick shavings--made in Washington, USA
  • That's 32 tablespoons!
  • or 473 mL for chemists like Kirby
  • or 0.01 bushels if you prefer small numbers

Pup-Approved Safety Guidelines

We know safety and enrichment is your top dog priority, so here’s the scoop on keeping your pup's EverChew experience pawsitive and worry-free:

  • Dishwasher Safe: SafetyChew can handle a spin in the dishwasher—no sweat!
  • Not a Toy: SafetyChew is all about the chew, not the playtime. Be sure to remove the holder and pin when about an inch of the chew remains.
  • Chew the Chew: If your doggo is more interested in the holder than the chew, a little training may be needed to keep the focus on the tasty part. This can be common for puppies.
  • Pups Only: This product is for canine consumption only—no hoomans or hoomoms allowed!
  • Inspect Regularly: While SafetyChew is tough, it’s not indestructible . Keep an eye out for small pieces that might break off, but don’t worry—the medical-grade polymer will pass safely through your pup's system if consumed.
  • Stay Secure: Even if there are toothmarks, as long as the black pin latch is secure, the holder will keep the chew in place, so your pup can chew safely.
  • Supervision Required: As with any treat or chew, don’t leave your furry friend alone—regular check-ins keep things safe.
  • Hydration is Key: Always have fresh water available for your dog during chew sessions.
  • Keep Out of Reach: SafetyChew, pin, and chews should be kept out of reach of children and other curious critters.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, neither the bully sticks or collagen chews are bleached. Our ranches only rely on fresh raw material and hygienic processing.

Never. EverChew's sticks are washed with lots of water, then heated with airflow. No bleaches, smoke liquids or other flavors or preservatives.

No, the plant is free of peanuts and soy. They deal in cow parts, partner.

Yes, every lot is tested for salmonella and E. coli before import from ranches in South America. Then at EverChew we spot-check boxes using a combination of a microbiology testing lab in Portland and internal tests. For the internal tests we wash any bacteria off the surface of sticks, allow any bacteria to grow in a warm broth overnight, and then test for E. coli and Salmonella using lateral flow assays.

Absolutely, our pre-drilled sticks come in Regular, Thick, and Jumbo refill bundles so you can re-stock anytime.

You can try, but there are a few pitfalls: the stick needs to be narrow enough to fit into the holder, the hole must be drilled exactly through the center, and the diameter must fit the pin. Off-center drilling is the most common problem. Our pre-drilled refill sticks eliminate all of that hassle.

We officially say they are good for 2 years after shipping to you. But they can be okay way longer than that. We have some bully sticks that are 5 years old in prototype display units and they are still okay--no smells, changes or anything. Bully sticks seem to be like the honey they recover from ancient tombs--still good to eat.

No. Rawhide is a layer of the hide with low digestability. Our collagen chews are a layer of the hide high in collagen, so it breaks down in the stomach/small intestine, so that it won't cause an intestional bloack. Our bully sticks are from a completely diffent part of the cow--100% muscle and fully digestible.

The sticks are very carefully rinsed and oven-baked to prevent odor. Most of our customers report a mild to no-odor experience, especially compared to most other brands.

No way. We pre-drill each EverChew stick so it slides onto the SafetyChew pin right out of the pack. But mamy people do drill their own sticks--the hard part is keeping the drill bit in the center of the stick. We've gotten that part perfected.

Most bully sticks soften as they're chewed, so they peel ino strips rather than splinter, so they're much safer than dried bones or antlers. We've seen a couple of brands that appear to overbake thir sticks and they become brittle, but msot don't. And our collagen chew sticks definitely don't splinter either. They also soften as they're chewed.

Chew time varies by dog size and chew style of course, but our 6-inch sticks keep moderate chewers busy 30-60 minutes. And if you can watch your dog and make sure that they don't start chewing just on the holder, you can let them lick and nibble on the trapped stub for up to hours over many chew sessions.

The regulars are about half an inch diameter, while the thicks are about 0.75 inches. Jumbos go up from there. Although it impecise since only about have of the chews are cylindrical. So we visually average the end profile to estimate a diameter. And we drill the hole in the smaller end.

Superchewer dogs should use the black nylon SuperChew holder, if they're medium to smaller, then Thick sticks may work. Go for Jumbo sticks for bigger dogs.

Each holder has it's own starter pack of the holder and three pre-drilled bully sticks. Open the pouch, load the stick, and your dog can chew right away.

Two years easy, just keep them dry and they'll stay fresh. But we have sticks that are several years old that are still good. Our dogs have eaten very old sticks from "display" pieces that got knocked down to the floor, and there were no issues.

We source from a small number of trusted ranches in South America. They hand wash and bake the pizzle. Every lot is tested for Salmonella and E. coli before import. We then spot-check shipment ourselves.

We doo drill the 12" bully sticks near the center, but yes we drill the 6" sticks near one end. We found most dogs prefer that approach so the stick stands upright so it's easier to chew. And it may mean less mess on the couch/floor/whereever.

Bully sticks shouldn't splinter. But because of the way they are cut and drilled, our bully sticks will fray. These frayed edges are soft and safe to chew up.

The locking pin slides through the hole to undefeatably lock the stick, not just grip the surface like all other holders. The bully stick or collagen chew cannot come out even when wet and slippery. Our drilled sticks are centered perfectly for the pin, That's why we recommend our refill sticks over trying to drill your own.

EverChew's bully sticks are low-odor because we only source from a couple of ranches that take extra care wehn washing the pizzles. There may be some trapped odor in the air-tight pouch, but each stick out in the open has very little odor.

Maybe, the stick must be small enough to fit into the hole (of the holder you have, there are 3 sizes), and the hole must be large enough for the pin to pass through. The hole must also be drilled in the center of the stick or the pin still may not fit.
