Updating Payments

Updating your Payment Card for your EverChew Subscription

Changes must be handled through ShopPay

Recent Security updates have changed the way that credit cards are updated for your subscriptions. Since this has proven very confusing, we made this instruction guide to ease the journey to updating your credit card.

For background, this update affects all Shopify stores.  Shopify uses "Shop Pay" to process payments, and they host either the Shop mobile app or shop.app website for shopping and order tracking.

The new restrictions:

  1. Changes can only be made via the Shop App or the shop.app website.
  2. If you don't have a Shop account, you will have to create one.
  3. You can no longer update a card’s expiration date--you have to delete the card and add it again with the updated date.

Updating via the Shop Phone App

When you get a notification from EverChew that your card is expired, follow these steps:

  • Tap your icon in the upper left corner (J in this image):

  • Now you can tap to update:

  • Tap "Add a payment method" to add a card (even if it's just the old one with a new expiration date):

Thanks for taking these extra steps to keep your doggo supplied with sticks. They will thank you for it with wags and licks.

      Updating via the shop.app website

When you get a notification from EverChew that your card is expired, these are the steps:

      • Browse to https://shop.app/account and login if requested.
      • Click the little letter icon in the lower left (J in the image) to access your account:

      • Click your EverChew Subscription box partway down the screen:

      • Now you can click to update:

      • Click "Add a payment method" to add a card (even if it's just the old one with a new expiration date):

That's it!  Your doggo thanks you for taking the trouble.
